Introduction I grew up in Searcy, Arkansas, and went to college at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. After spending a year in the British Isles, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Portugal on a Watson Fellowship, I went to graduate school at the Divinity School of Vanderbilt University. While working as a student in the library at Vanderbilt, I discovered that I really wanted to be a librarian. I entered a distance education program (one of the first of its kind) in 1996 with the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, TN. I married in 1997 and after having 2 children, I went back to work as a school librarian in Jackson, Mississippi. I've recently moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I'm working from/at home, learning about wetlands, and trying new Cajun and Creole foods.
