Introduction A ‘son of the manse’ from Auchinleck, Ayrshire, Colin studied at St. Andrews and Edinburgh Universities. Ordained in 1986, he was minister of Larkhall Trinity in Hamilton Presbytery for 7 years. He had, however, long been interested in the World Church and was duly accepted as a Mission Partner. From January 1994 to June 2009 he served with the United Church of Zambia, working in rural, peri-urban and urban congregations. From 2004 he was also a lecturer at the Theological College, which he very much enjoyed. After 15 years in Zambia, Colin felt it was time to move on to other challenges, and is now Associate Minister at Tiberias in Israel/ Palestine, where incidentally he worked as a volunteer for a year in the early 1980s. Colin is a voracious reader, especially fiction and history. His other interests include opera, jazz and classical music (there were not many opportunities for that in Zambia!). He also enjoys travelling and interacting with people of different cultures.
